The large number of clog designs available in the market means first time buyers have a hard time choosing which design and which variant to go for. While all clogs are equally good, they are also different at the same time. Picking the right clog involves some research and determining what factors you need to take into consideration before buying one.
There are not a lot of guides on buying the right clogs on the internet, so we decided to create one for your convenience. The following steps have to be taken into consideration to get the perfect pair of clogs, just the way you like it:

Step 1: Choose the Bottom/Heel Type

The most distinct difference between different types of clogs is the bottom part or heels. You might want to start by first deciding which kind of heel you want. Different clog variants have different heels, such as high heels for heeled clogs, flat bases for women clog sandals, high-rise but flat based wedges and low heels for clog boots. Once you decide on the heel styles, 50 percent of your work is already done.

Step 2: Toe and Back Design Considerations

After you are done with choosing the heel design, the next step to follow is to look for toe and back designs. They come in many configurations such as open-toe and closed backs, closed toe and open backs, open toe and open backs, closed toe and closed backs, and finally, straps or strapless. Your design should be based on the relevant occasion in which you plan to wear the clogs. If you want a pair of quick-sliding shoes, the open backs are the best. If you want clogs with room for feet to breathe, buying an open toe and open back one will be beneficial and so on.

Step 3: Design of Fabric and Color

The final step involves choosing the choice of upper material. Clogs come in many options such as canvas uppers, leather uppers, synthetic leather uppers, rubber uppers, suede uppers, fabric uppers and velvet uppers. The choice depends on the usage scenarios and frequency of use. For example, daily use clogs means suede, synthetic and fabric uppers, whereas clogs for once in a while use means genuine leather and velvet uppers. After this, the final choice comes down to picking the color, which can be almost any color due to the large number of colors clogs are sold in.
