Wooden Clogs: Styling Every Generation with Class

Looking out for the latest trends in fashion online has become for many, and I am no different. Recently I came across an old favorite of mine, the clogs, and the first thing that came across my mind was if Birkenstocks came to the limelight with a panache, the good old clogs could have too, and they did in some ways. I clearly remember having a modish, slip-on pair in red leather, with tiny pinholes, when I was around 9 years old. And I can tell that my love for them hasn’t faded as I went searching for them with a restlessness of a kid. Unfortunately I didn’t find the, but still it goes to show that clogs will never go out of fashion.

When it comes to footwear, clogs are the old souls, famous for carrying a bohemian style having a nature friendly wooden heel. The thing which makes them stand out has been their continuous evolvement, taking along their traditional simplicity into different cultures throughout the world. Such flexibility has brought a plethora of trendy styles catering to every age group. Some of the popular ones include straps on the back and the open-toe.

Whenever I picture clogs, I can’t help myself but visualize the spunky hippie culture of the 70’s with people roaming around in floppy hats, off-the-shoulder bohemian blouses and rugged jeans—not much different from our current styles. This is perhaps the coolest thing about clogs that they perfectly capture the casualness of a being and can be styled with any attire. Personally, I love wearing them with a maxi dress and a bulky necklace in summers.

Here are some of the trendy clogs that I have put on top of my table that will surely make the ground much cooler beneath you.

  2. I have to agree with the author here. Wooden Clogs are something that have been in fashion for a long time and still are going with the same grace. Every now and then they are reintroduced them with some minor tweaks and become an instant hit again. I think the very basics of these shoes makes them a winner. They are comfortable, stylish and durable.
