Quintessential footwear for women: Clogs

When it comes to footwear, what are you willing to compromise on? Style or comfort? Some will say style while some will go for comfort. It happens quite frequently that a pair of shoes which look really great seem to torture your feet when you try them on; and when you decide to be practical and look for something more comfortable, you never find a pair of shoes that match either your age or taste. This was a common problem among women of all ages, until clogs came into the limelight.
Clogs for women on sale worldwide are characterized by their signature wooden heels and leather uppers. They have evolved from the old wooden clogs that were a part of the ancient culture of many countries which had their own regional variant of clogs. In most European countries like Sweden, clogs were mostly closed shoes made of alder wood and cowhide leather. In some tropical countries like Indonesia and India, clogs were more open and resemble the modern day flip-flops.
Currently, clogs are found everywhere, on the streets as well as on the ramps. With a perfect blend of artistic craftsmanship and edgy style, they complement the style of any woman, irrespective of her age. Their practical design makes them suitable for everyday wear. Wooden clogs are timeless shoes that have revived the extinct category of stylish yet functional footwear for women.
There are many variants of these shoes which are available in the market today. There are open toed, closed front, open back and closed back styles among the clogs for women on sale. They have been modified further so that they fit into more specific footwear types for women, like boots, mules or strappy sandals. The heels in clogs are mostly of varied height and style. From high heeled clogs to medium heighted ones, from chunky block heels to wedge heels, clogs are found in a variety of styles.
They are mostly hand-crafted and are designed, keeping in mind the comfort of the wearer’s feet. One of the best things about wearing clogs is that they do not cause any discomfort unlike other high heeled shoes. The wood used to make the bottoms are subjected to some pre-treatment before being crafted into bottoms. This is done to ensure shape stability and increase shoe life. The leather uppers are tailored to ensure the best fit for all sizes. Most clog makers perform a process called wet lasting to make the leather flexible so that it can be stretched to an optimum level over the wooden bottoms.
Clogs for women on sale are available in an exhaustive palette of colors. They can be worn by women of any age. Clogs are snug and comfortable and are suitable for both formal and casual occasions.
Every woman should own at least one pair of these shoes, which are the best example for the perfection in balancing both functionality and fashion.

How Clogs Helped Me Increase My Productivity?

After completing my basic course in being a teacher, I had recently opted for volunteer work in a school until I got my certificate for preschool teaching. This job profile was the closest exposure that I would get in the world of education before I dived in deep into it. My future goals consisted of opening a school for the kids, and this was the first step to getting on-field exposure. I started working there, and everything was fine except for the constant pain in my calf muscles that used t get due to long standing hours in the school.
I kept avoiding it for a considerable amount of time until it becomes a source of frustration for me. It was starting to affect my productivity at work, and the principal was worried at the lowering graph of my work capability. She called me into the office for a session and asked me if I liked working at the school or was facing some issues. I had been dodging this unnecessary information that was the prime source of the problem for me for a long time. Even though I felt like it should not be discussed with the people, I went ahead and blurted out that I felt exhausted with the long-standing hours.

What started as random work-related feedback turned into a meaningful conversation when she smiled and showed me her feet adorned with clog sandals. She told me that when she began her career as a preschool teacher, she was also facing similar issues and it led her to be irritated all the time. Her grandmother came to the rescue and advised her to wear the clog sandals to work. At first, it felt like people would be looking at the feet all the time due to chunkiness of the shoes, but then the comfort that they provided was par excellence and helped in getting over the fear as well as the pain over a period.

She also mentioned that there was a sale going on in her favorite store of the clog sandals and suggested that I should visit it after the school got over that day. Today, I have accomplished all my goals and advice my school staff to wear the clogs to work every day.

Why Walk On Wooden Shoes?

Take a woman away from her clogs and she will raise a hue and cry. Clogs are the apple of every woman’s eyes. Wearing clogs, girls exhibit an air of confidence. Those wooden-soled shoes are so funky that women can’t help wearing it. Be it any place or season, wooden clog sandals complement your appearance and add grace to your personality. They are chic, fashionable and gel well with any clothing.

Nobody had thought that clogs would make such an impact on the fashion scene. This wooden footwear was usually associated with milkmaids and peasants who would wear them since they protected and insulated their feet. But Chanel and Louis Vuitton conjured up a storm in the market by making the clogs look super cool. Models at Chanel’s Spring Collection blazed fashion ramps as they walked gracefully in those heavy footed clogs. Such was the craze that wooden clog sandals became a hot trend in the months which followed.

Have a stroll down a busy shopping arcade or a high-end street and your eyes won’t fail to notice women walking proudly in wooden clog sandals. Women have actually figured out that clogs are a fabulous choice for the feet. Besides their style and comfort, clogs provide orthopedic benefits which induce women to have a pair or two in their closet.

Since women do a lot of standing every day, which means doing a full-time job or running errands, they can rely on wooden clog sandals to protect their feet, legs, hips and lower back. Clogs have no laces, velcro-closures or zippers. You can easily slip them in and out without any fuss.

Clogs are a great add-on to any outfit. You can pair your clogs with vintage denim or skinny jeans or even short dresses. If you want a chic look, you can wear suede or black wooden clog sandals with skinny jeans or even short skirts. If that doesn’t make the cut for you, you can settle for boot-cut denim. If you want to add a cool vibe to your clothing, you can wear socks with your favorite clogs.

5 Reasons Why You Must Carry Clogs on Your Next Vacation

Packing light for a vacation is one task I never thought I could accomplish in my life.

There is this inner conflict where a voice from within says ‘pack light and don’t carry unnecessary stuff. It’s not practical’ in a matter-of-fact tone, while a different voice says ‘what’s the harm in carrying options?’ in a seducing tone while I am stuck with a pile of clothes and shoes, trying to decide.

For clothes, I could still manage to filter out the really necessary pieces from the rest, but for footwear, I just couldn’t.

This was the case until I discovered clogs while flipping through a popular fashion magazine.
Here are the reasons why heeled clogs are vacation staples for women of all ages:

1. Hills or the beach, clogs can be worn anywhere

Clogs are vacation shoes which can be worn on your trip to the chilly mountainside and also on your trip to any exotic beach destination.

The close-toed heeled clogs will keep your feet warm and snug while you enjoy the cold and the strappy open-toed clogs are great for a walk by the seaside.

2. Clogs let you switch from one outfit to the other, effortlessly
We can carry more clothes to mix and match, but for shoes, we have to be very thrifty.
This means carrying only those footwear options that pair up with more than one outfit.

Heeled clogs can be paired with almost everything- with pants, denims, skirts, sundresses, as well as with maxi dresses.

3. Look stylish in a pair of clogs from morning till night

Short trips can be very hectic - you might be out from morning till night and get no time in between to go back to your hotel to change.

For such days, wear clogs as they are versatile and can be worn anytime-anywhere.

4. Great Substitute for Stilettos

You’ll obviously want to carry at least one pair of high heels.
But who carries stilettos on a beach trip?

A pair of heeled clogs are ideal for your vacation as they will make you look tall without making you look overdressed.

5. You can Walk Comfortably in Heeled Clogs

While you are out and about, exploring the mysterious alleys in an unknown land, or shopping in the local market, picking up souvenirs, a pair of comfortable shoes that also look great (read clogs) are what you should be wearing.

Want To Know Which Celebs Love Clogs Just Like You?

Who is not envious of Hollywood celebs’ footwear collection? They are simply adorable. Few days back, I saw in a magazine Elizabeth Banks wearing a pair of heeled clogs sandals at a party. I absolutely loved that pair and now badly want something similar to them. Then, while searching for different types of clogs being flaunted by celebs, I came across these top celebs who often wear clogs. So, now I am going to share the celebs who have, time and again, showed their love for clogs.

KATE MIDDLETON

The Duchess of Cambridge herself is quite fond of heeled clogs. She appears flawless with effortlessly putting forth her straight forward sense of fashion. In fact, she has her own unique collection of clogs, which are very much a part of her summer wardrobe. Isn’t that really great to know? Now, wouldn’t you want to own your collection of heeled clogs?

ELIZABETH BANKS

This ‘Hunger Games’ star has worn a pair of heeled clog sandals on several promotional events of her films, screenings, etc. She swears by the craftsmanship of Jan- Michael Cazbat who is known for creating shoes that women love. Her personal favorite is the type of sandals that are simple in shape with vibrant colored straps.

JULIA ROBERTS

An American actor and producer, Julia Roberts is best known for her rom-com ‘Pretty Woman’. She was, in 1990s, the highest paid actress in the world, thus it is not surprising to know that she owns one of the most sought-after footwear collection. She has been seen flaunting a pair of clog sandals as well as heeled clogs during her casual outings. What she loves the most about clogs is that they provide supreme comfort without compromising on her look. Also, the fact that they can be paired up with any casual dress.

MILEY CYRUS

She is a multi-talented personality who loves to experiment with her looks every now and then. She has, many a time, flaunted the fashion statements which are a class-apart from conventional ones. Her love for heeled clog sandals has been visible at various events, casual hangouts, and even at parties. She owns a very quirky and chunky set of clogs that make her stand out each time she flaunts them.
So, you too can fall in love with heeled clogs (same as me). Their unmatched level of comfort and sheer designs are bound to flatter your personality.
